This is the first stage of the process: the raw materials, needed for the mixture formulation, are unloaded in bulk into a receiving hopper situated beneath the truck-driveway. Using extracting screws and elevators, the materials are conveyed to the stocking silos.
The phase of storage is exactly what you can in order to have the raw materials available to meet the demand from the production line feed.
A first sieving cleans the raw material from any ferrous part or foreign matters. The grain materials or the materials that required a size reduction, pass through a hammer-mill or a roller-ill in order to reach the suitable granulometry.
A special hopper, positioned on weighing cells, doses accurately the ingredients and prepares the exact formulation. Through an mixer, the formulas are homogenized and supplemented with vitamins or medicated.
The mixed product is ready and can be stocked for delivery or can be sent to the pellet-mill for further processing. In a conditioner, steam, molasses, fat or liquid can be added to the mixture before it enters the holes of the pellet-mill die, pressed by the rolls. On the outlet of the holes some knives cut the pellets at the desired lenght.
After pelleting, the product is very hot and a counterflow cooler cools it, to app (+3-5°C) above the environmental temperature, in or der give it the right hardness and the better consistance to store and handle it. The machine is a counterflow cooler full line of air intake and recovery powders. A sieve removes the fines form the pellets and a screw or pneumatic conveyor collect these fines and send them back to the pellet-mill.
The pelletized product is conveyed to the silo for stocking before delivery. It can be delivered in bulk on special bulk tankers or packed in bags.
A manual or automatic weighing-sacking system and an eventual palletized are used for bagging the product.
